9 Gas Rewards Programs

Speedy Rewards

With Speedy Rewards, you can earn 10 points per gallon and 20 points per dollar spent at the convenience store. As a member, you’ll get other bonus rewards, too.

You can redeem your points through the rewards app or at the register. Simply show your digital card in the app or provide your phone number as alternative identification.

To give you an idea of how much you can earn, 1750 points is equivalent to 10 cents per gallon discount. You can sign up through their website or app to start getting Speedy Rewards.

GasBuddy

GasBuddy is a cashback website designed to help users save money on gas purchases. The platform offers a free prepaid card that saves up to $0.25 per gallon. Users can locate the cheapest gas stations through the app and receive additional savings by shopping and dining at partner stores.

GasBuddy's features include a Find Gas tool, Trip Planner, and Outage Tracker. The app has high user ratings on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, although some users report issues with app functionality. GasBuddy is free, with premium memberships for enhanced savings and roadside assistance.

BPme Rewards

BPme Rewards is one of the gas rewards programs you should check out if you’re a BP or Amoco customer. Right after signing up for this rewards program, you’ll save money from gas purchases.

Specifically, getting gas on your first month of the program can save 5 cents for every gallon. For every succeeding month, make sure to spend at least $100 on your gas purchases. That way, you’ll keep saving the same amount for every gallon.

You can also get bonus rewards through the BPme rewards app. It offers a subscription program, called BPme Match, which costs $0.99 per month. BPme searches for the best gas prices and matches them when you input your membership details at the pump.

Exxon Mobil Rewards+

With Exxon Mobil Rewards+, you can earn points whenever you shop for gas or buy things at the convenience store. You can even get rewards points for having your car washed.

The program rewards $0.03 per gallon in points and $0.02 for every dollar of your purchases at the store. Once you reach the 100-point threshold, you can redeem $1 to apply to your next gas or convenience store purchases.

If you have an AARP membership, you can also link that to your Exxon Mobil+ Rewards and receive a 500-point sign-up bonus.

Maverik Adventure Club

The Maverik Adventure Club rewards app lets you earn rewards from your Adventure Club and Nitro accounts. With this app, you can choose which rewards account to use. By using your Adventure Club, you can save $0.02 per gallon, while Nitro gets you $0.06 per gallon.

You can get a free fountain drink when you sign up. The program also rewards Trail points for your gas and store purchases, and you can use them to redeem free items. Trail points are also redeemable for sweepstakes.

Shell Fuel Rewards

Shell Fuel Rewards is another program you should check out if you’re looking to save money on your gas purchases. When you sign up for the program, you’ll automatically be in the Gold tier membership, which rewards $0.05 per gallon for six months.

After that, you’ll need to make at least 6 purchases of 5 gallons or more for the next 3 months to get the same amount. If you don’t meet this requirement, you’ll be in the Silver tier and still get $0.03 per gallon back.

You can return to the Gold tier once you meet the requirements again after 3 months. What’s also great about this program is that you have three options for getting your rewards: an alternative ID, like a phone number, Fuel Rewards Card, or your credit or debit card linked through the app.

Circle K Easy Rewards

Circle K Easy Rewards is indeed one of the best gas rewards programs you should check out. You can get a free card at any Circle K and activate it by downloading their rewards app on your phone. Another way to activate your app is through its website

Once you have your rewards card ready, you can use it to get 10 points for every gallon of gas purchases. You’ll also earn 20 points for every dollar spent on food and non-alcoholic beverages. Once you accumulate 2,000 points, you can redeem these to get $2.

Kroger Fuel Points

Kroger Fuel Points is another must-have if you’re looking to save money on your gas purchases. Besides gas purchases, you can also earn reward points when you shop at any of their regional stores.

Using your shopper’s card, you’ll get 1 Fuel Point for every $1 you spend. You can also get points when you purchase gift cards or fill out a prescription. Getting some bling at Fred Meyer Jewelers, one of Kroger Co.'s stores, can also get you rewards points.

Once your points reach the 100-point threshold, you can redeem a $0.10 discount on gas at a fuel center.

Pilot Flying J myRewards Plus

Pilot Flying J myRewards Plus is a popular rewards program for truckers and RV enthusiasts, and even noncommercial drivers. With this program, you can save up to $0.10 per gallon of gas.

Downloading their app lets you access various bonus offers for food, beverage, and merchandise purchases. Some offers you can find on the app are “buy 1 get 1” offers, free drinks, and even free showers.

You can enter your rewards number or scan your app at the pump to get your rewards. You can also use your rewards card, but to maximize your earnings, it’s better to use it with the app.

Are Gas Rewards Worth It?

Gas rewards are worth it as it helps you save money, no matter how little it may seem. After all, most rewards programs are free to join. Getting your rewards are also hassle-free since many rewards programs have mobile apps that you can scan at the pump.

However, you might also want to consider how much you spend at the same stations. Take Kroger Fuel Points, for example.

If you spend $500 per month on Kroger store purchases, you can save $0.50 per gallon on gas purchases. Suppose your tank holds 25 gallons; filling it up can save you $12.50 per month.
